December 2016, our team of 14 volunteers traveled to Kingston, Jamaica donating barrels of clothing items and footwear to a small church in the town. We've decided to donate to this church because we have felt connected once meeting the children here in May 2016. After this missionary trip we've decided to expand our organization. We still keep in touch with the children from Kingston
In June 2017 we've supplied an entire all age school with school supplies and clothing/footwear items. We provided aid to Askenish All Age School where we were able to provide each student with a book bag/pens/pencils/books/crayons and much more. We also provided each student with an outfit and a pair of shoes/sneakers. We have provided each teacher with different supplies that may have been useful to them.
We’d like to introduce you to one of our programs launched in May 2018 ‘Bridging Borders” program. Throughout this program we will connect different Philadelphia school students with students abroad. We will first start in Jamaica at Askenish All Age School where we will connect student pen-pals. During this program we hope that students from two totally different countries will be able to connect and share similarities all through the power of letters.
Kids Club International has partnered with Bob Marley Foundation in Kingston, Jamaica on August 17, 2018. We've awarded 16 students with book scholarships. As fulfilling as it was to see the smiles on those students faces we hope to continue this program in the future. We were also able to tour Tuff Gong studios as a special for our donations.
